Lindsay Brin, C.P.T. & B.S.E. Exercise Science, is a fitness and nutrition expert, and a former NFL cheerleader. For nearly fifteen years, she’s been helping women achieve healthier bodies and minds.
Lindsay’s lifelong passion for fitness developed while growing up and watching her mother teach aerobics. Lindsay’s dream was to offer cutting-edge fitness techniques to women across the globe. She had the privilege to work with Chalene Johnson, and travel the U.S. certifying instructors in TurboKick® and PiYo®. Today, Lindsay specializes in making fitness accessible, with programs that are renowned for their simple, fast results.
Lindsay founded Moms Into Fitness® in 2005 to help moms feel good about themselves, and their bodies. After filming the first four DVDs in 2005, there was such public demand that, in March 2007, Lindsay and her family traveled to Charleston, SC, to film five additional titles. Her innovative exercises using the pelvic floor and transverse abdominus (deep abdominal wall) have provided thousands of moms with results and flat stomachs!
She is the fitness expert for Fit Pregnancy and Mom & Baby magazines and contributor to The Healthy Belly. She most recently became an author of 2 book titles to be published by one of the largest publishers in the world in January 2010. A leading Pregnancy Research Professional and spokesperson, Lindsay led a 2006 study, in conjunction with Southern Illinois University. This led national fitness organizations to use Lindsay’s videos and Stroller Pump® programs to certify fitness professionals.
Lindsay was a personal trainer to Richelle Carey of CNN, who said “Lindsay is one of the happiest people I know…I mean truly happy. That’s hard to come by…but that’s the kind of person who can really motivate you to get whatever it is she has. What she has is energy and overall health and she can show YOU how to have it too.”
Lindsay is an approachable, real and inspiring resource for women of all ages. Lindsay’s faith and the strength of her family have helped her get where she is today. Lindsay lives in the suburbs of St. Louis, with her husband, David, and their little girl. To find out more about who she is, and not just what she does, please visit her blog www.lindsaybrin.com. You’ll also see the good, the bad and the ugly pictures of Lindsay’s 12-week Boot Camp challenge starting from the day she got home from the hospital with her daughter.
ABOUT ME:
“The basics: I am 5’11/2”, 108 lbs., look like a teenager, just turned 30, live in St. Louis, grew up near Chicago, love Jayhawks basketball, got married to my wonderful husband in 2004, go to yearly get-togethers with my college girlfriends, love to shop with my mom, use pictures as art in my home, love green bean casserole, love contemporary furnishings, enjoy organizing and re-organizing, grew up dancing and still love to cut a rug on a night out, love shopping, own one too many Juicy outfits, prefer salt over sweet, feel 100 times better when I put on some mascara and brush my teeth, gained 20 lbs. freshman year of college , wear super-flare jeans instead of skinny, love boots that make me tall but can’t get out of my fave Uggs, love working from home and being a stay-at-home mom, wish I had straight hair, went through 3 IVF’s, do Hot Yoga, studied in London, enjoy Sophie Kinsella’s books, still carry the Fendi purse my husband got me when we were dating, am still a daddy’s girl, just finished writing 2 books, enjoy “fat” Sundays, watch The Hills and Real Housewives, am still in love with Joey from NKOTB, love normal food (in moderation of course!) , hated chicken while I was pregnant, want 5 kids, and most of all I want to make others happy. The way to be happy is to make others happy.
I’ve always believed you should never burn bridges and if you can’t say anything nice don’t say anything at all. I would love for my daughter to grow up in a family just like mine. My parents and my faith taught me many, many valuable lessons. A lot of them I am still learning (I need to learn to stick up for myself!) Striving to be a mom like my own mother has led me to who I am today. I believe we should all have compassion towards others and I hope that comes full circle with my daughter, Taylor.
Fitness is only a small part of my life, but something that helps me in many aspects of my life. I love spending time with my family. So fitness comes second, which is why I like doing a quick workout and getting back to being a mom and wife.
Overall I want to help moms feel good about themselves! Whether you're a veteran at exercise or have 2 left feet you can do it! And if you are ever in the St. Louis area I would love for you to come to one of my Stroller classes, we have a lot of fun.”
